Roles & Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end data architecture on AWS and Snowflake, set technical standards, and guide the team in delivering a scalable, secure, and cost-efficient data platform. Key Responsibilities • Design scalable, secure data platform architectures on AWS and Snowflake, covering ingestion, storage, transformation, and consumption layers • Define data models (dimensional, data vault, medallion) and DBT project structure, naming conventions, and coding standards • Architect batch and near-real-time data pipelines, including source integration, orchestration, error handling, and recovery • Lead performance optimization: warehouse sizing, clustering, query tuning, materialization strategy, and cost monitoring • Define data governance, security, and access control patterns (RBAC, masking, row-level security, encryption) • Review designs and code, mentor engineers, and resolve technical blockers • Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, and delivery leads to translate requirements into technical solutions • Produce architecture documentation, design decisions, and reference patterns

Ideal Candidate

• Required Skills • AWS: S3, IAM, Glue, Lambda, Kinesis/MSK, Step Functions, CloudWatch • Snowflake: architecture, RBAC, Snowpipe, Streams and Tasks, performance tuning, cost management • DBT (Core/Cloud), data architecture, data modelling, data pipeline design • Advanced SQL and Python • Airflow or equivalent orchestration tools • Terraform and CI/CD concepts for data platforms • Data catalog and lineage tools (Collibra, Alation), Snowflake Cortex • SnowPro Advanced certification (Architect) preferred as a credential
