• Strong WAF Engineer Profile with hands-on Akamai Kona Site Defender management and policy-tuning depth • Important (Experience 1): Must have 2+ years of overall network security experience, with at least 2 years managing WAF solutions, specifically hands-on with Akamai WAF (Kona Site Defender), including strong product knowledge of the platform. • Important (Experience 2): Must have experience in incident, problem, service-request, change, configuration, and capacity management of a WAF setup, assisting with day-to-day BAU MACDs and configuration changes, and maintaining SLAs for incidents in the queue. • Important (Experience 3): Must have experience using existing tools to isolate events before service degradation, supporting incident monitoring/response, resolving trouble tickets with users, and performing immediate troubleshooting for outages. • Important (Experience 4): Must have experience monitoring and analyzing WAF events, logs, and alerts to detect and mitigate web attacks, performing RCA of recurring incidents, and onboarding new applications into the Akamai WAF platform (ruleset design and deployment). • Important (Tech skill 1): Must have strong knowledge of OWASP Top 10, web threats and mitigation techniques, and proficiency in HTTP/HTTPS, TLS, DNS, and TCP/IP. • Important (Tech skill 2): Must have experience in policy configuration, false-positive tuning, and custom rule creation, with familiarity with Akamai Control Center (Luna Portal) and API integrations. • Important (Tech skill 3): Must have a good understanding of CDN, reverse proxy, caching, and load balancing, plus ITIL process knowledge (Incident / Change / Problem Management). • Important (Domain): Banking-industry experience Primary; strong candidates with the same technical experience from another industry are acceptable. • Important (Note): Must be comfortable with a 24/7 NOC rotational shift environment at the client site (IDFC Bank, Airoli, Navi Mumbai), able to work in a fast-paced environment • Important (Communication): Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with flexibility to learn and adapt. • Important (Certification): Akamai WAF Certified Professional (Important/Primary). — Required
